For someone who has spent a truckload of sleepless nights trying to engage in the fine art of defying the gruesome class card cinco (and ultimately failing to! Apir) the month previous, I have, sadly, had a pretty uneventful April.

April 12
Mum turns 51 today, and since she has been asking me to draw her, here it issss. Too bad she does not know that i, er, blog (or whatever)
Also, we went to Eastwood to celebrate her birthday. We hanged out at Something Fishy where we enjoyed a buffet of (drumroll please) seafood!!! Wow kagulat
Unfortunately the only time i've been to a buffet was that time we had breakfast at Disneyland Hotel in Hong Kong, so i do not really have the license to judge what this place has to offer jalsdfja but i think that the options were great? Pero i also think that it was a little too pricey
So i wouldn't really recommend it at all. According to my sister she has just been to another buffet a week back and that there were more dishes to choose from doon
Anyway
Happy birthday mum (hihi feeling British forever sorry)

Happy 18th ulit, Sofia! Sorry i saw your, er, wishlist a day too late hehe. I'm also doing my best to turn Brad Porky Von Durian (???) into a super friendly hedgie before May 20th :))))
An oddball even as a child lol
Jumbo
Today i got my sister an African pygmy hedgehog for her 18th birthday. It's a day late, but i'm pretty sure she appreciated it. Ang sweet kong kapatid hihihi
She gave it the ugliest hedgehog name ever-- Jumbo
Wtf, right?

Last night (November 24), Pau celebrated her 18th birthday in some bar in Tomas Morato. Two Lasalista birthday partsies in two consecutive nights and I still wonder why I'm so poor.
Although I did enjoy myself, last night's crowd was not my crowd (I only knew three people, one of whom was a new acquaintance) so after the 18 asdfghjkl proper, I stuck my butt to the sexy black leather/fauxleather/whatever couch.

Sofifi introduced my to Stef. When I found out that Stef plays in a band, I started mumbling about my rock star frustrations because puta I can't help but cry hysterically whenever I meet someone who actually plays in a band.
Pero joke lang yun syempre.
The three of us finally decided to form a band. Sofia came up with "The Husbands". Does it not sound cool? Hehe. Pero of course this shit would not last as I live/study so freakin far away from where they study.
At least we came up with a rad band name, right? Huhu
Shooting stars suck anyway

The weird kid turned nineteen last 23rd and her Mum asked Monica and I to have dinner with thum.
So
So
I got her a bunch of vinyl records for her new turntable because that's how she rolls now. Mayabang-ly. Monica got her a copy of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children whatcamacallit. I think it was really nice of Monica to remind Hannah that she need not feel bad about herself for being the only peculiar kid in town because somewhere in the fiction wonderland, there exists peculiar kids too.
/kid
Here's Monica's super-pinaghirapang i-wrap gift being neglected and all hahaha
Monica brought a sky lantern so that we could celebrate Hannah's pagtanda with a little more cheese. Ganda nung pagkasunog oh.
Once the lantern disappeared into the night sky (charot ang mushy pakinggan) I decided to play around with the kids (onti lang) while Hannah and Monica converse. Tapos biglang may nag-appear na faling star and only Hannah and Monica saw it.
No biggy. Meteorite lang yan na nagsu-suicide so I don't care. Nor do the kids. Bleh
I'm still the tallest of the lot... not much of a surprise though
Hug. For all the trolling she's made hihi
I was not able to sleep over at her house because she won't let me because I've told her that I've got classes the next day. Boo 19 na feeling police pa rin

Sunday night, I was in a three-way line with Monica and Hannah. A birthday date to celebrate Mocs' turning 19 was arranged and we agreed to meet each other the next day (October 8). Complications arose and unfortunately Hannah did not make it (my fault mostly.. and Globe's!). I'm so very globbin' sorry for being one hell of an evil folk sometimes, okay? :-(
I was already at Mendiola to pick Monica up so there was no way I'd have it postponed-- anyone who has ever rode the LRT knows how much of a hassle it is to acquire an LRT pass 'no! Also, we have not (Mocs and I) been going on Pancake Sundates recently since (I guess) we were too busy with schoolwork.
Mocs made a decision to celebrate with our UST chums instead so we went there without knowing that this week was their finals week! Luckily we're talking about impulsive freaks here so they agreed to go on an impromptu date while trying to make it through their finals woohoo
Kit was taking a quiz at the time so we met up with Char first. We had her for only a super short period of time because she still has to take an exam. I am not sure if I should be glad that she still is the same petiks Char back in high school. Didn't learn a thing about cramming, this loon (yeah, as if anybody would)...
Not far from Char's building, we spotted this lone armchair. I was sorta freaked out by the fact that it was sitting and rotting in the middle of nowhere-- it looked so out of place! Yet, putting aside the possibility that it is haunted by the souls of those who died via acads, I saw this as a photo op and forced Monica to sit on it so that I could have her picture taken. It was kind of embarrassing with all those eyes on us, pero carry lungs, it was Monica who was sitting, not I.
Paalam dignidad, uttered Mocs. k

Last night (September 29), Alexys celebrated her 18th birthday at The Gallery Bar, Richmonde Hotel Eastwood City. I was glad to have the Greenpark Friends around otherwise I'd drown in a sea of super unfamiliar and fabulosa chics. Because first of all, I'm not chic material-- need I still confess? Hahaha!
I shared the table with Lawrence and George, because aside from Paolo and his troupe, they were the only ones I know. For guys, they were bigass camera whores! Yes my camera has outgrown retardation woohoo!
Nostalgic Bug
During my high school sophomore years, I hanged out with only two awkward butterfingers, Misato and Claire. No one would have probably supposed that the three of us would click since we have deviating personas: Misato's one of the school's heartthrobs; Clarianne's quite the big-deal smartypants (in fact, she's currently taking up Computer Science in UP Los Banos, one of the country's premier universities); and I was, well, I was the girl in the brown cotton jacket who emits dead air (hahaha).
However, since San Beda decided to inflict a P20,000 injury on its already-exploited students (tuition fee increased from 60k+ to 80k+ the next school year), Misato and Claire had to bade adieu to dear San Beda.
We barely see each other ever since.
Last night (September 1), Claire finally joined Misato and I in the I'm-permitted-to-watch-porn-na! bandwagon. Happy birthday baCla!
Misato and I decided that we'd commute together. Finally. A reunion.
We talked about so many things while on the way to Alabang, Misato and I. There were lots of updates regarding what happened to us in the last four years and there were lots of remember-that-time-when's, too. Ambivalence took over me. I thought that maybe it'd be proper to smile in retrospection but I also thought that a frown should be more appropriate. I was am sort of afraid that those dear moments might already be the dearest ones I would have with them and that nothing more grand would come. Reflecting on the fact that we once were in each other's super inner circle of friends yet not being able to witness as each one grows made my insides hurt. I am not certain of what happened.
I remember those times when we would stalk that freshman cutie, Ban. I had a little crush on that guy (pedophile once, pedophile forever) and whenever he's in sight, Misato would call on to him and Clarianne would freak smile at me. I remember when Misato used to call me Kokak and I'd answer back with a Bakit, Oinky? I remember imitating the way Claire sings. She sounds so lame (I'm not even sorry pero I love you hahaha).
We've had so many good times, but the ones I miss the most were those times Misato and I would come over to Claire's house so we could treat ourselves to a serving of halo-halo that we may have something to eat while we make our way to the hillview since Claire insisted that we see the lovely sight-- we were on top of the world (pero hill lang naman hahaha) and the stars were just above us! We do this often and sometimes we even stop by Edward's (Claire's busmate/freshie crush... pedophile din siya hahaha) crib and have him come with us. There even came a time na naiiyak na 'ko kasi sobrang kinikilig na ko sa kanilang dalawa :')
*queue Maalaala Mo Kaya soundtrack*
I would definitely relive those moments if I could. Right now, I'm just happy that I got to be with them even just for a couple of hours. I'm also kind of glad that there were no awkward moments-- these might have been due to the fact that I made Misato wait for me at Megamall for a little over an hour, earning me a nice deal of scolding. We were both smiling while she's scolding me, though. I failed at trying to display the sorry look. Screw me, right?

Claire introduced us to her Valley View Academy superpeer, Colleen Dumlao. She happened to be celebrating her 19th birthday that night! Sabay talaga eh. So we let her blow the blaze out of the centerpiece's candle muhahahaha para sisihin mamaya 'pag nagtaka yung organizers kung bakit walang sindi yung candle lol

Did I mention that the party took place in Starmalls, Alabang? Well, it did. I just realized that Starmalls pala was where my first field trip was held (nursery days woohoo). I still remember those silly rides I used to love back when I was a kid. Fourteen years have passed oh my God
Photo booth shotttts!
Kumag's 19th
Last Friday night (August 31), we celebrated Kums' 19th birthday. I actually decided not to go since I still have lots of readings to kill but I still did anyway since she's graduating this year (I think) plus she's one of my closest sorority sisters. I got her a box of brownies and wrote her a super short letter of cheesiness that day but I was not able to bring it to school with me since I was already running late.
After class (around 7pm), we decided to meet outside her dormitory so we could celebrate. We were made to choose between an inuman session and a food trip. I have been sober for almost a month now, but I still have to finish my fuckin readings so we opted for the the food trip instead.
In fairness, the relighting candle I brought with me worked! I was happy that it did since when I lit one up for Kiyoko's birthday last Wednesday, it did shit. The relighting candle made Jen and Kums and Rich happy, too. They were, once again, little children. Hihi.

I had fun, alright. The only thing that got me worried was the fact that I've been eating too much for the whole of two days before attending (my high school friend) Clarianne's debut which took place just yesterday (September 1). I was just a little worried my dress won't anymore fit me.
Cheers to the sober.
August 10: The monkey turns ten
The Habagat frenzy and the nonstop downpour that followed days later did not stop my little brother from celebrating his 10th birthday. Unfortunately, the only guests he had were Tita Fe, Tita Annie, Annica, and BJ (one of his petty ka-barkada). Sending out invitations on such a short notice turned out to be a bad idea after all.
Since Mama went to work that day, she asked me to cook Carbonara. The last time I cooked such dish was the summer when we had no yaya around to tend to our shitty orders, making Jill and I liable for any household mishaps (i.e. late dinner, hungry dogs, huge pile of dirty laundry, sticky floors, et cetera). That was the summer of 2007, a little more than five years ago. So boohoo. I did not know what to do.
Ate Madel made things a bit easier for me though-- she rounded up the ingredients (evaporated milk, pasta noodles, cream of mushroom, bacon, garlic, onion) on the counter. The only thing I'm in doubt of is the order in which the ingredients must meet its hot end.
In the end, naghula-hula nalang moi.

| I seriously do not know what I am doing. |
A little before 4pm, Mama arrived with a box of chocolate cake in hands. Apparently, she was not able to acquire the ice cream cake she ordered online since she was not able to print out its voucher.
Honestly, I find the celebration quite sad since there attended only a handful of guests. I myself was not able to give him a present since ang daming gastos sa school and the suspension of classes during the flood delayed my receipt of allowance from Mum. Walang pera forever, period.
And to the smelliest, most arrogant monkey I have ever met, happy 10th birthday! I love you besides the fact that you hate taking baths and that you would sometimes even lie about the fact that you had not yet taken a bath or brushed your teeth yet. I'm so glad I have you in my life-- you're kind of the most important touch to it. :D
Officially panext.

I may have turned 18 yesterday, but I kind of find it sad. It's not that I don't want to be entitled to adult crap, it's just that I'm not ready yet. I have realized that I haven't achieved anything yet, when I was young. Damn that sounded weird. Anyway. I think that I wasn't able to do so many things during my, er, youth. I'm a fucking adult now, pero wala eh.
I have never held any position in any student government. I wasn't able to become a better artist, well, if ever I can be considered as one. I know very little when it comes to kitchen crap. I don't even know how to drive a car!
Therefore, I do not deserve to be eighteen.
Yesterday was my birthday and I didn't give too much attention to it. So I went on with my daily activiteis as if it is just some normal day. I changed my birthdate on Facebook so that people can't pretend to be real life friends with me by pretending to know my birthday when in fact Facebook was the one who kept reminding people. Shitty system. I hope people won't treat Facebook as the new "real world".
Yesterday morning, as I was preparing to go to school, Yna came over. She handed to me what seems to be a gift from her, Ivy and Clarence. What's inside the box? Well, the content was pretty wholesome. I was presented a pair of baby pink, partly-lace underwear. A bra and a panty. Aren't they just sweet.
Off to school I went. Some people who are kinda close to me started singing that cliche birthday jingle. I would wanta punch them in the jaw to shut them up, but society declares that you must be grateful to people who actually knows that today is your birthday. You have to thank them. Do not hurt them in any manner. Et cetera, et cetera.
I conformed. Society is a bitch.
I went to class and was welcomed by the midterm exam which I wasn't able to fucking prepare for. I was so eager to go home to Rizal na since I was to meet up with my friends. I couldn't concentrate. So fuck that shit bahala na si Batman.
Tapos umuwi na ko.
Four hours later, Charlene came. I don't already know how to entertain guests. Plus, she's not just a guest, she's one of the freaks closest to me. I don't know. Feeling ko I've turned into this voiceless monster that cannot scare anyone anymore. Dammit. So right. She gave me a shirt for my birthday. This shirt has such a wholesome concept. "Treesome" is written across it.
Then came Mocs and Helen. Mocs gave me a bouquet of 18 roses. Ain't she just sweet. Actually, she's the first person to ever give me a bouquet. Ain't this life sad. I don't want to label myself "forever alone" because I think that it's too cliche. Is it not? Is it not, when people who are actually attractive and are not actually alone and have actually at least one karelasyon are using it to label themselves? Fuck that shit. 'Di ko na tuloy ma-distinguish kung sino rin ang mga totoong forever alone kagaya ko. kdot
Let's get back to my little celebration. Mocs handed me a box. When people are handed boxes, is it not that they shake the box on instinct? I'm just a normal human. So I did. Moc's and Helen's jaws dropped. Pagbukas ko, there were two dwarf hamsters pala inside. I didn't feel guilty, though. Mild lang naman pagka-shake ko eh. Hihi.
Tapos Mocs also brought something to stuff me with. She went to the kitchen to set the choco mousse up. There were multi-colored candles sticked into it greeting me a happy birthday. Candles are nice, aren't they? So don't ever friendzone them. Shit corny.
Tapos Mocs also gave me a Team Manila shirt. Lately, I have been obsessing over their products. They promote kasi the Philippine culture. I just feel unique when I wear those kinds of shit. Wala. Gaaaay.
Tapos we went to the kitchen to eat. Awkward silences enter as commercials so medyo nakaka-disappoint lang. Back when we were in high school, we were all these madaldal people-- 'di nauubusan ng topic kahit whole day na nga magkasama. And now, drumroll please, madaming pwedeng makwento kasi we barely see each other tapos ganun yung atmosphere? Silent? What ever happened to the world. I hate college. I don't want everything I hold dear to just become memories.
Gaaaay. Whatever I still mean it.
So after holding this pictorial (which we might probably be doing everytime somebody celebrates his/her birthday), we went outside.
Ay 'di pala muna. We waited muna pala for Mocs and her sister to finish retouching. Kikay! Lol. Moving on. We went outside, lit the fire-catching square thingy, made our wishes, then off goes the floating light.
I just hope candle wishes and sky lantern dreams do really come true. Otherwise made-delay na talaga ko ng sobra in UP tapos magiging forever alone pa for real.
