Saturday, BBC aired the series finale of DW: The Name of the Doctor. Of course, i had to wait for them US/UK
viewers to upload the thing via torrent. It sucks to not have DW air in my
country okay
Ever since
i’ve read the title card off Wikipedia, i’ve been dreading the day they’d
reveal the Doctor’s name because i believe that only River Song, the Doctor’s
wife, can have the right to know what it is. At the start of the episode, Vastra
and Jenny and Strax and the murmuring men have been blabbering nonstop about
the Doctor’s “secret” being discovered. I automatically assumed that they were
referring to the Doctor’s name! I foresaw my world crumbling

But then the secret was revealed, and it wasn’t the Doctor’s name!!!1! The Doctor’s secret turns out to be John Hurt (Mr. Ollivander from the Harry Potter film franchise) as the Doctor *insert sigh of relief here*
Matt Smith: I said he was me. I didn’t say he was The Doctor. My name, my real name. That is not the point. The name i chose is The Doctor. The name you choose is like a promise you make. He’s the one who broke the promise. He is my secret
John Hurt: What i did, i did without choice
Matt Smith: I know
John Hurt: In the name of peace and sanity
Matt Smith: But not the in the name of the Doctor
Of course,
all of that happened as the episode came to an end. (Moffat cliffhangers, everyone,
what’s new?) Everybody’ll have to wait for *sigh* SIX SHITTIN MONTHS (emphasis
on my frustration) to see the 50th anniversary special, and who
knows, they might decide not to reveal it yet, by then

if Eleven claims that John Hurt’s face was him, John Hurt would be one of The
Doctor’s reincarnations. But which?
- Final Doctor reincarnation? The Doctor apparently has foreseen himself doing a crime he has to commit? However, John Hurt would be too old by then if they’re still planning to use him in the future
- The real Ninth Doctor? Well, people say he is a cross between the Eighth Doctor (waistcoat) and the Ninth Doctor (leather jacket). UGH OBVIOUSLY I’VE GOT A LOT OF CATCHING UP TO DO
- The Doctor’s son to River ? ? ? Well, he was the Doctor in the sense that he’s carrying the genes, but at the same time, of course, he wasn’t the Doctor himself. Plus, responsibilities can be inherited by offsprings, right?
- The Doctor’s clone? The attempt to preserve the being of the Doctor, being only a clone, is very likely to malfunction
- Doctor Zero? See, the First Doctor might have been his attempt to make up for the “promise” he has “broken”
- He could have been the one who started the Time War
- He could have been the one who ended the Time War, consequentially freeing all the Daleks
- He could be giving out magic wands to everyone. All hell has to break lose in order for all races to defeat the upcoming series’ main antagonist—Voldemort. Yep, i’m saying that Mr. Ollivander IS the Doctor

ReplyDeleteI use my Nikon D7000 with Tokina wide angle lense and Nikkor 35mm mostly! Have a few other lenses too but rarely use them. And a little photoshop CS6 :D
