2014 March 31
Monday

Today I shall present how tucked up my makeshift planners are.

The past two months have been very hectic. Butt I wouldn't say that they've been mean to me. Nevermind the pressure of trying to work things out with very little time and with very little resources-- the feeling of getting shtuff over with (and in succession!!!) is terribly INTOXICATING DESU!

There's no reason for an all-out celebration, however, as I have, as I had last year, failed another one of my major courses (and that is due to lack of initiative to work on a long-ass article report while there's still time, I swear). Butt! Miserable is the last thing I'm feeling right now. That shit might have ruffled my victory feathers, but I'll make sure that that sick fuck kisses my butt next year /insert disgusting cackles here

For the past three weeks, I've been overflowing with good vibes. Apparently it has manifested in the stuff that has happened to me in the previous days

Last Thursday, September 19th, our confraternity, Pi Sigma - Pi Sigma Delta, held a forum at UP Clark's lobby regarding pork and cuts. We were able to organize dat shit despite huge-ass time constraints. A bunch of students sat in to listen to what Student Regent Krista Melgarejo had to say. It went smoothly, I think

(It should have. I dedicated my time preparing for it instead of reviewing for my BM 161 exam which was to take place on the same day we held the forum)

Pork

The pork barrel scam has been the issue for the past months. All sectors of the society is pretty much affected by it, well, in the Philippine setting, at least. It is necessary, however, that our folks get to know it better (e.g. criticizing not only the PDAF but also the presidential funds) and get to look at the picture as a whole (and maybe from a new perspective?). Ever encountered the term bureaucrat capitalism? Ever wondered how such mechanism protect and serve the interests of the ruling class by maintaining such a shitty system?

Yeah... it's our confraternity's (Pi Sigma - Pi Sigma Delta) goal to raise social awareness among the folks from our school, so we'll be conducting a forum regarding the matter tomorrow. Uso short notice ngayon huhu

And so

With the help of my collective, I did some organizing in UP Clark. In an effort to get their attention, I've also shopped a photo into that because people love illustrations and all that eye-indulging shit. I swear I did my best editing *cough* given the limited time lol *cough* while trying to work out how to lobby six more non-pork issues

We've also invited a bigatin identity (UP Student Regent Krista Melgarejo) to speak before the people because it's time to let our student council chairperson know that all these social issues I've been trying to raise is freakin importanté. I'm tired of being ignored, goddammit. These social issues must be given the proper amount of attention to AND YOU MUST KNOW THATTTT

2013 Feb 05
New Earth World Superclub
Balibago, Angeles City

Last Tuesday February 5th, UP Business Management Society's La Fashionista 2013 was held. This years theme was carnival-esque jazz

I wasn't able to enjoy much of it because our confraternity entered the freakin contest and i was chosen as lé designer, so i had to fly off to the backstage every now and then. I was almost tempted to take off my shittin shoez ugh but that's fine i guess because i think this jazz is turning me into a lady yihee

I was a winged creature back then and i was all over the place, so i think this shit had some perks and so i guess that sort of offsets my freaking out from time to time and my having a hard time with the pair of stilettos (yihee stilettos) i was wearing dat night. I was able to take photos kahit saan because i was fucking flying woo hoo

And yes this is another one of those photo dumps

Here's ΠΣ-ΠΣΔ confraternity's Jay Zantua in his ringmaster-esque org wear. Isn't he pretty or what.

Jay: Boyfriend for Hire

After so much bonggang delay, ΠΣ-ΠΣΔ's lobby game finally pushed through last Thursday (September 13)! This year, Movie Addicts focused on superheroes of both foreign and local origins. This year, I volunteered to prepare the PowerPoint presentation to avoid going through last year's hullabaloo (we crammed as if ugly imps were on our tails and in the end we were booed by the audience huhu).

We sure had fun setting up, though I do not think that the same can be said for our super industrious sister Jenor who was tasked to cut the stupid adhesive tape. I mean come on, who'd enjoy that crap?

The MC in demand, Jay Zantua / Jason Chua (lol)!
Jay was tasked to host the thing and the Ulupongs (his group of ulupung friends, who were also participants of the said game) was backing him up. Soon, the Ulupongs got the whole audience to cheer for him! Coolness.

The almighty Triskelions won the event, by the way.

Next thing I know, we were at McDonald's and Kums was listing down everyone's order. This actually was my first time (I think) bonding with them off school grounds. I honestly do not feel as if I'm part of the confraternity (though I legally am). I don't know-- that's just the way I am around organizations I am part of. What I did not know was that I was actually part of a family! I did not feel left out (unlike how I do around Samana and CCC and Rotaract). So it's just either that the socially awkward penguin in me is dying (poor thing) or that I just found my UP ohana. Hihihi (yuck ang landi tumawa).

At some point, we talked about Jay's newly erected yet still unofficial "fan base". I sort of came up with the idea of auctioning Jay for a day since our funds our slowly degenerating. Everyone was into the idea, but I don't think Jay likes it. He was silently smiling throughout the discussion so we assumed that he was not against it :D

I just hope that it would push through. We have already identified prospective bidders (the market's quite big, mind you) and we are already looking forward to a super heavy competition between Gela and Nani (two of Jay's biggest known admirers) if ever this pushes through.

I can already see $$$. Jay for sale! Jay for sale! Boyfriend for rent! Jay for sale!**

**Bidding is restricted only to those who are currently enrolled in UP Clark

I wasn't able to follow my long weekend itinerary so boohoo. Today I am supposed to come up with a poster thingie for our confraternity's August birthday celebrants. This is 100% voluntary. I'm doing it mostly because I don't have enough $$$ to buy each of them a gift (ang dami kaya nila, lima).

Instructions in English, Filipino, German, and Spanish. Ang 'di pa maka-gets panget.

Yes, I drew everything myself, though as usual I still have to borrow some textures from DeviantArt.
Here are my resources:
Everything was done on sketchpad and in Adobe Photoshop CS3.

Next week, our group will be holding a lobby game called Movie Addicts. This year's theme revolves around superheroes, both foreign and local. Ah, that explains why most of them are dressed in comic characters. But why choose the Filipino motif? Well, I guess I was trying to promote Filipino creations? Don't ask me, I don't know.

Today I am also supposed to come up with a Sigman anniv tarp design but I don't know if I'll be able to accomplish that before 12 midnight since I still have to end my relationship with the infamous 180-page Philo 171 readings. Don't get me wrong-- I love that course but it just takes up too much of my time. I also hate the fact that some articles in it are not in modern English. As much as I'd love to read like a sir, I also hate that I cannot comprehend about 60% of whatever the philosophers are talking about.

Hell weekend

My Friday’s about to end and I have not yet done anything productive.

I just got home (by home I mean the one in Rizal) yesterday. Why, you ask. Well the UPCAT will take place on Saturday and Sunday so my school had to give up Friday’s afternoon classes to prepare for next day’s UPCAT. I went home Thursday since my only Friday pasok commences at 5:30 in the afternoon giving me the ultimate oh-what-a-wonderful-life pass to a long weekend.

Long weekend woohoo lettuce celebry or somethin!

Yeah that was what I had in mind too until it occurred to me that I'll be taking two exams next week and that I'll still have to read the 6th chapter of this e-book I illegally downloaded for Econ 102 and that I'll still have to update my notes on Macroeconomics so that I'll be able to understand whatever Sir De Leon has to discuss the next time we meet. I still don't even know what to do with my BM 99.1 (Accounting) since it has been two weeks since the last time I saw Sir Bacon. My point is that I still have to accomplish so many school shit before I get to enjoy whatever may be left of my weekend.

Long weekend indeed.

With this I constructed a Long Weekend Game Plan. Oo na yuck nerd moments pero I without a to-do list I sure won't be able to accomplish anything. Here goes.

Friday
  • BM 153 Take notes from readings
  • Philo 171 Catch up (since I was not around last session)
Saturday
  • Philo 171 Finish catching up (I swear there are lots to read)
  • Econ 102 Read Chapter 6
  • Econ 101 Take notes from provided PPTs
Sunday
  • Construct Sigman anniv. tarp design draft
  • Construct fancy happy birthday August celebrants poster thingie
Monday
  • BM 153 Review for exam
  • Philo 171 Review for exam
Non-acad gigs
  • Cinemalaya: Try to find a way inside the movie house to watch Ang Nawawala and Mga Kidnapper ni Ronnie Lazaro since you're the suckiest loser to fail to reserve a ticket or two (one for Mocs of course) for the screening.
  • Go on a date with Inday or Dahlia or Kit or Charlene.
  • Assist Sofia (or maybe not-- she's Jill's guest anyway... pero)
  • Attend to check-up

And yet I still find time to blog. Well, let's say this is my way of relieving stress (without even feeling it yet). Pero okay sa totoo lang ayoko pang simulan tasks ko so
