On this day, we celebrate the success of Kalipunan ng Damayang Mahihirap (Kadamay) Angeles City chapter-building
Kadamay is an alliance of urban poor groups and individuals based in the communities. It aims to address the worsening of the Filipino urban poor's already miserable condition and to address their immediate needs for housing, livelihood, and social services
I actually learned A LOT from the summit. I gained a deeper understanding on how BS Aquino's Public Private Partnership, community (slum and non-slum) demolitions, land grabbing, lack of decent jobs (with living wages!), poverty, government incompetence, imperialism, bureaucrat capitalism, and feudalism, among others, are all intertwined
